Passion to create
From an early age, Francesca was captivated by fragrances. Reflecting on her childhood, she recalls, “Perfumes were always significant and inspiring to me. I remember sharing Yves Saint Laurent’s Paris with my sister. We liked this perfume because it was worn by a sweet person we both dearly loved. That scent reminded me of her, showing me how powerfully fragrances can connect us to our emotions and memories.” It wasn’t until later in life, encouraged by an Italian perfumer, that Francesca decided to fully commit to her passion.
Liquid emotion
Francesca’s creative process is deeply rooted in emotion and sensation. She believes in the profound impact fragrances can have, not just in terms of technicality, but in their ability to convey feelings. She finds her creativity in poetry, music, and the peacefulness of silence. Perfume to her means “luxury that enriches the soul,” a philosophy that resonates with her sensual and elegant fragrances. What to expect from Orris Soyeux
Orris Soyeux stylishly blends the bold richness of leather with the powdery elegance of orris root on bare skin. Francesca describes her perfume as “elegant, intense, and textured”, achieved through her careful selection of ingredients.
Creating Orris Soyeux presented some challenges, especially with balancing hyacinth and magnolia. “These notes required careful balancing to complement the orris root without overpowering it. I’m proud of how these ingredients added a distinct facet to the fragrance,” Francesca says. With her perfume, she hopes it evokes feelings of empowerment and refinement in those who wear it.
