
Who is Christophe Laudamiel? A biography
Christophe Laudamiel is a master perfumer in fine fragrances and scent engineer at Generation by Osmo in New York, DreamAir studios in New York and BélAir Lab in Tokyo, after a career at IFF NYC and Procter & Gamble (EU, USA).

A chemist international champion, he also enjoys volunteering as osmocurator (smell historian) for the Versailles Osmothèque. He is known for his avant-garde olfactory compositions, creating a trail of high-end signature fragrances of all kinds, often doubled with special technologies or artistic stretch-the-boundaries initiatives.
He created several top 10’s scents for fashion and beauty houses such as Abercrombie & Fitch (Fierce), Béyoncé, Clinique, Tom Ford (2 scents), Thierry Mugler (scent-track of 15 scents for the book and movie Perfume, the Story of a Murderer), Ralph Lauren (Polo Blue for Men), and for numerous niche brands: such as The Zoo NYC, Richmess, Rose 1845 and StrangeloveNYC and now Vetiver Rain for Annindriya!

Christophe is the only perfumer worldwide with scents entered officially in collections such as the International Perfumery Museum in Grasse, the Cleveland Museum of Art, The Rubin Museum NYC and the Harvard University Archives. He is represented by Mianki gallery in Berlin Germany.
Winner of many science and perfumery awards including the lifetime achievement Award from the IAO Los Angeles, inventor on 17 granted patents, writer on major peer-reviewed scientific papers, his scents have been performed at Basel, Cooper Hewitt, Grasse and Guggenheim (NYC and Bilbao) museums, or inside the official USA and Swiss Pavilions at World Exhibitions.
He has been a speaker and ambassador in perfumery at major universities (Harvard, Sorbonne, Cornell, at scientific congresses and institutions (French Embassies in the USA, Canada and Latin America, EU Parliament, Washington DC IFRA and twice at the World Economic Forum in Davos.
He has published a manifesto, several articles and book chapters in major publications, pursues a constant quest for new or little known ingredients. He is the co-founder of the Perfumery Code of Ethics.
