Fragrance creation & product development

The fragrance designers and scent experts at Annindriya have more than 25 years of experience in the field of perfume creation, product development and innovation. We have a proven track record, particularly in perfumes (fine fragrances), personal care and air care. But we also have experience in laundry- and cleaning products, scented accessories and beverages.

Key success factors in our approach are passion for the product, brand fit, multidisciplinary project management, result-driven, effective even in complex environments, and strong network within the industry and professionals.

Depending on the project, we work together with different parties from our extensive professional network. This network comprises many (European) private label producers, perfumers, raw material suppliers, packaging experts, market researchers, flavourists, retail specialists and industrial designers.

We created tailored perfumes for instance for:

  • Salle Privée (perfumes, scented paper and scented candles)
  • Hans Ubbink (perfumes, scented soap bubbles)
  • WoW by Daphne Deckers (perfume, scented lingerie accessoire)
  • O'de Texel (perfume)
  • Eau d'Amsterdam (perfume and scented candle)
  • Good Luck (CPNB)

Next to perfumery we work with pride and passion on personal care, body products and health care solutions for:

  • Arion (Swash body wash solutions)
  • Biodermal (skin care and sun care)
  • Yun Probiotherapy (skin care)
  • Body & Bess (skin care)
  • Lactacyd (intimate care).

Annindriya adapts its approach to every project, according to the budget, the people, the desired outcome and culture of the company.

Generally, the following steps will be followed:
1. analysis market needs, trends and opportunities.
2. creative session, concept ideation, positioning and products.
3. feasibility assessment, proposed approach and cost frame.
4. choice of perfumer, perfume-house or library scent.
5. creative briefing for perfumer.
6. (if required) parallel technical product development.
7. evaluation of proposed first perfume (usually in expert panels).
8. debriefing perfumer, potentially rework proposals.
9. evaluation of reworked perfume (in expert- and/or consumer panels).
10. packaging texts.
11. stability tests, safety, legal requirements and dossier (PIP) formation.

When it comes to a perfume briefing, there will be many aspects and attributes that need to be taken into consideration. An important element is the desired fragrance (olfactive) family:
