Ode to our nose - the most direct and powerful sense

It is the only sense directly linked to our limbic system, the oldest section of our brain in which we feel, lust, remember and invent. Recent research even shows that the power of the human nose is almost limitless, at least one trillion scents can be detected.

Annindriya: what does it mean?

Tanja Deurloo founded in 2007 Annindriya.  She consciously and passionately choose the name Annindriya , because (despite its challenging spelling and pronunciation) the meaning in Sanskrit and Pali language was spot-on what the key drivers are for our work:

• ANNINDRIYA = the highest insights

Based in Amsterdam

Annindriya is based in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. Our location serves as inspirational platform and meeting place. Amidst nice books on chemistry, fragrances, innovation sensory branding and marketing, we have gathered many market examples, raw materials (naturals and aromachemicals) and fragrances to explore. We can even work from our peaceful garden.

The front site of our building is housing the Perfume Lounge. The Perfume Lounge is a specialized Haute Parfumerie, started by Annindriya end 2009, where consumers and fragrance lovers can enjoy an unique collection of niche perfumes. The Perfume Lounge offers talented perfumers a platform to present their work to their fascinated clientele. The Perfume Lounge is especially known for its personal perfume advice, i.e. in the form of Perfume Profilings, and for its bespoke perfume service.
